Supertone "Harmony" H1215 (1960s)
Supertone was the brand name Harmony used on instruments built for Sears stores.
It is built entirely of birch wood, both for the body and the neck. The fingerboard is stained maple and the bridge is rosewood. The fingerboard looks like maple, and is not varnished. Close to the world of blues for its ringing-tone. .
It was built in the early 1960s in Chicago.
The neck is original, no signs of modification are visible and it has a "C" shaped section like a baseball bat. It also has a plastic nut.
The fingerboard is perfectly straight and stable, with a reinforced steel neck. The frets are original, nickel-plated, and have been reconditioned, leaving them round and shiny, without marks.
The guitar is very comfortable to play. The height of the 1st string at the 12th fret is 2 mm.
It has all the original parts, except for a tuning machine on one side that had to be repaired.The guitar has several cracks in the top, sides and back, all of which are perfectly sealed and the guitar is offered with a full guarantee. It also lost some of the paint, especially on the sides, it has numerous bumps and scratches, but it is solid, stable and fully operational.
It has an old single coil magnetic pickup installed that works perfectly, with a professional installation, without noise or hum.
