Hofner 492 model (1968).
Spruce-pine top, mahogany back and sides. Rosewood fingerboard, Jumbo round-shoulder.  It has a large body with round shoulders, and a long scale.

It is very deep, much wider on the sides than other models. This was the last year that these jumbo size bodies were built, with a traditional style glued neck. Starting in 1969, many parameters were changed.

The cap reinforcements are in X, this was kept until 1968, then the design changed.

There are also many small taps and scratches in the varnish, but no cracks or repairs. The perfectly straight and very solid mast, its design allows an easy execution.

It has been totally revised and adjusted as necessary. The frets have been re-conditioned and polished. All parts are original, except the pickguard.

The guitar tunes well and is very comfortable to play.

  Height of 6th string at 12th fret is 2.0mm, and 1st string at 12th fret = 1.5mm.

Live sound impresses! O! The guitars of this year are very difficult to find, there was not much production.
