Hofner 4550 model (1961)
It is a very large guitar, 17" (43 cm at the hips). Built in Germany in 1961.
Constructed of curly maple and laminated mahogany, with a rosewood fingerboard with binding and an ebony bridge. 64.5 cm scale.
It's varnished in light tobacco sunburst. The varnish is in fairly good condition. It has some scratches typical of a guitar of its age, but it's original and retains its integrity and much of its shine.
It has some dings and scratches, but no cracks or major repairs.
The nickel silver frets are the original, reconditioned ones, and allow for comfortable playing with very low string heights and no buzzing or buzzing. The frets are over 2 mm wide for the first string at the 12th fret.
It is strung with 80/20 bronze strings with a thickness of 0.12
It has been completely overhauled, is in very good condition and fully operational!
