Parlor guitar "Kaser & Musser" Rosewood (1880-90)

It was built in Germany in the late 1800s. It was handcrafted, and all of its wood is solid.

The top is spruce, the back and sides are Brazilian rosewood, and the neck is maple. The bridge is ebony, and the fingerboard is pear wood. The tuning machines are mechanical, with rivet gears, no screws, and all work correctly. The original ebony nut.

It has a wooden inlay as a binding, no plastic on the guitar.

The bridge pins are original, inlaid pear wood.

The mouth is decorated with mother-of-pearl and mother-of-pearl inlays, which are perfectly preserved and complete, with all the pieces.

The neck is extremely strong and remains as straight as the first day. It also retains its original frets in excellent condition, and its scale length is 62.5 cm.

It has been fully restored and tuned. The guitar has some cracks and splits in the top that have been professionally repaired, as well as a smaller one at the end of the back.

Despite all this, and thanks to a thorough repair, the guitar is fully operational, solid, and stable. It's perfectly functional and tunes well, plays comfortably, and has a great sound—sweet and deep with plenty of resonance.

But above all, it's a great instrument, hand-built with high-quality solid woods, that works very well and is very well-priced.

It's a guitar that a professional could play in a theater or cathedral without needing amplification.

It is strung with bronze nylon strings with a height of about 2.3 mm for the first string at the 12th fret.
