Framus 5/95 Doc Williams Jr. (1961)
Built in Germany, Bavarian Series. Very high-quality materials and traditional construction with a glued neck and bridge, without screws.
It has the same size and scale as a Gibson LG-1. Scale 62.8 cm.Solid spruce top, with solid maple sides (very wide), the back is laminated 3D maple and mahogany, and is arched.
The fingerboard is made of rosewood with nickel silver frets, and the bridge is made of ebony.
The neck is made of multi-layered, non-deformable mahogany wood.
It's a radius-less fretboard, very comfortable, almost in the style of a modern electric.
The top reinforcements are in the shape of a 5-point bench, in the Spanish style, which gives it a very different sound from other guitars.
It is in excellent condition. It has been serviced and perfectly adjusted for comfortable operation.
It's a collector's guitar; production was very limited, and it's a highly sought-after model due to the high quality of its materials and construction, especially in its early years...
The height of the first string at the 12th fret is 2 mm, and it plays very comfortably, with perfect intonation and great sound.
It has a trusrod that works well and is adjusted for the string it uses, which is silk & bronze 0.11.
